Carnival glass is moulded glass to which and iridescent surface has been applied giving it a shimmering effect. Adopted by collectors in the 1950’s often handed out as prizes at carnivals and fairgrounds . In the early 1900’s carnival glass was massively produced in the USA and reached a height of popularity in the 1920’s. At this point in time more that 50 colour ways have been identified . Carnival Glass is highly collectable worldwide with its bright cheerful sheen catching on in modern day home decor.

Dugan produced the most Peach Opalescent carnival glass, with cropped edges. Latter they were renamed the Diamond Co and then they still used many of the earlier moulds.
