House in Amsterdam (Herengracht 314)
This unique building, constructed in 1725, features a distinctive gable design with sandstone dolphin scrolls. Commissioned by city council member Nicolaas Romswinkel, it remained in his family for over a century. Since 1986, part of the house has been a private restaurant and cooking school, offering delightful dining in a 19th-century banquet room with garden views.
From 1952, KLM passengers received Delft Blue miniature houses modeled after Amsterdam’s canal homes as gifts.
