For your collection : A Beautiful and Impressive Wedgwood Light Blue Jasperware Pedestal Bowl in excellent condition! The bowl is adorned with Classical Greek Scenes depicting Harvest or Bounty Figures in white bas relief set amongst trees. The top rim of the bowl has a lovely leaf and acorn pattern decoration. On the base of the pedestal of the bowl there is a very beautiful leaf pattern garland. The top of the pedestal base is decorated with a leaf decoration in white bas relief .
This lovely pedestal bowl measures approximately 13cm in height. The top of the bowl is approximately 20cm in diameter.
The bottom has the impressed mark : WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND
Jasperware, or jasper ware, is a type of pottery first developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the 1770s. Usually described as stoneware, it has an unglazed matte “biscuit” finish and is produced in a number of different colours, of which the most common and best known is a pale blue that has become known as Wedgwood Blue.
