A Quaich is a simple shallow bowl with two handles designed to drink from.The word Quaich originated in Scotland and from the Gaelic “Cauch”. Simply put a Quaich is a two handled drinking cup.
Originally Quaich’s where hand carved from wood and are thought to be inspired from similar flat shaped bowls in England and the Netherlands.
